Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West National Park – Into the Heart of Tsavo
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading southeast to Tsavo West National Park. As you drive through the Kenyan countryside, watch as the landscape changes from rolling hills to the rugged terrain of Tsavo. Upon arrival in the park, you’ll check into your lodge and enjoy lunch with views of the expansive savannah. The afternoon game drive takes you through some of Tsavo West’s most dramatic landscapes, including the Shetani Lava Flows, a stark reminder of the region’s volcanic past. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and the elusive leopard. Keep your camera ready as you explore the park’s diverse habitats, from riverine forests to open plains.

Day 2: Explore the Wonders of Tsavo West – Wildlife and Wilderness
After a hearty breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration in Tsavo West. Your morning game drive will take you to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, a critical refuge for the highly endangered black rhino. Here, you’ll learn about the efforts to protect these magnificent creatures from poaching. Next, visit the crystal-clear Mzima Springs, where you can view hippos and crocodiles from an underwater observation chamber. The springs are fed by underground streams from the nearby Chyulu Hills, creating a lush oasis in the otherwise arid landscape. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your game drive in search of more wildlife, including giraffes, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner under the African sky

Day 3: Journey to Tsavo East National Park—The Land of Red Elephants
Today, you’ll leave Tsavo West and drive to its sister park, Tsavo East National Park. Tsavo East is known for its vast open plains and the red dust that coats the park’s elephants, giving them their distinctive appearance. After checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is one of the largest and oldest parks in Kenya, and its remote wilderness is a haven for wildlife. Look out for lions, cheetahs, and the rare Hirola antelope, as well as large herds of elephants. The drive will take you to the Lugard Falls, where the Galana River has carved a series of stunning rock formations. Return to your lodge in the evening, where you can continue to observe wildlife from the comfort of your room.

Day 4: Return to Nairobi or Diani—A Journey to Remember
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll depart for the journey back to Nairobi or Diani. Whether you’re heading back to Nairobi for your flight home or extending your stay on Kenya’s beautiful coast, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories of your time in Tsavo.
